The Elves have high defense, but the Orcs' attack is no less. And their Rage provides good protection. And unlike the Dark Elves, Forest Elves have nothing to dispel Rage. Light magic (in my opinion) doesn't work against Orcs, because the Ranger hero is unlikely to develop spellcasting, and by the time he casts something, the battle will already be underway, and it might be too late. Archers have an initiative of 10 or 11, I don't remember exactly, and Centaurs have about the same. So it depends on luck, and you can easily lose one of your key units. Level 7 is inferior to the Orcs' level 7; Ents are beasts, but without support, they will be overwhelmed.
