Which level 2 creature is the best?

I realized that leading the Dwarves forward right away is not a good idea; it's better to first attack the Archangels and then move on to the Archers, and then the Fortress army will win. But if you push forward with the Dwarves, the army is doomed to fail. It all depends on the tactics.
