I don't know if I'll be able to keep him under control, most likely not, but I can leave some tiny chance for that. Maybe he'll get lost in the sand or something. I really feel that messing with him now is a huge red flag. Not knowing his abilities, maybe it could have been possible to somehow calm him down after the first phrase, but it escalated from there.
Somewhere in a wet fantasy, I could dream about him even teaching us something (it would be useful for our quest), and his berserk mode would activate where it's needed, and not where it's not... You can't guess either way, but I still see a slightly more reasonable chance of recruiting him here.
And what's the worst that could happen at this stage? Well, he might kill some acquaintances, blow up half of Asuga and my base. What can you do.

There aren't many good options anyway.
