As it turned out, the points do get assigned, but the spammer doesn't get banned.

and the issue affects far more than just heroesworld, but I'd still like to point out that the problem is widespread, especially with any mobile carriers. If there are any options to change the certificate (if that's the cause) or something, I'd be very grateful, because at some point the resource might simply become inaccessible except via VPN, on any internet connection (and then even via VPN it might become inaccessible — some already don't help).
If that's unreal, then well... Let's make backups and sit around reading and feeling nostalgic........
