Andre Goichot Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2022
Nose: Super red-berry, sweet almost like jam, even with honey notes, plus moss, pears, damp bark, roasted mushrooms, a hint of coriander and red pepper.
The taste is very balanced, very smooth, with just a touch of tannins, but they are appropriate. Also, lots of berries, earth, and autumn leaves, tobacco, a little cedar sweetness.
On the finish, it has an almost seaweed-like dampness, and that's good. And a little bit of vegetables.
An excellent Burgundy classic. After several unsuccessful attempts with more expensive Pinot Noirs, I was about to get disappointed either with it or with myself, but then I lowered the price range, and I found a taste that was almost the same as in my youth... And my first Pinot Noir cost less than 2,000 rubles, and even now, all these 5,000-10,000 ruble wines don't come close to it. And here, suddenly, it's very similar. The only thing missing is that brownish brick color – it's just pale ruby.
