Why did I switch to TE?

To be precise, in TE "Ranger" and "Beastmaster" have a chance of 1 to get Fire, while "Barbarian" and "Lord" have a chance of 2 to get Water, although this is, IMHO, still too low. 3-4 would be just right.
P.S. Maybe you, as a potential tournament participant, should read the manual.

The manual is worth reading - if I participate - but most likely I'll limit myself to only what the rules touch upon - otherwise I simply won't have time :(
