That's all true, but who in their right mind would keep attacking the same target from the very beginning if there are many pits available? Unless they're a suicidal psychopath:smile13:
It's not entirely clear what you meant.
Are you talking about how in a real battle, no one will die completely as long as there are pits alive, so they can't raise demons? Forget it! Even in top-tier games, this often happens. That's the point – skillfully manipulate the pits, preventing them from being killed, and still manage to raise a certain number of demons. (In the recent Fortress battles involving pits that I participated in, either I or my opponent managed to do this.) Simply blindly attacking the pits might not be beneficial (putting yourself at risk of a prolonged attack or a multi-headed attack, etc.).
But what I wrote about wasn't about that.
It was about how to accumulate a large number of goats from auxiliary units that are not suitable for other purposes. I attack neutrals, letting them tear them apart, and then raise the goats (this is also necromancy), but 100% of the time.
