It seems that the problem arises due to a lack of RAM on the server.
That is why this issue occurs intermittently rather than constantly.
I have slightly changed the database settings; we will see if this helps handle the load better.
Keep an eye on it for a while; if the situation suddenly worsens, let me know and I'll think about what else can be done.
