Through trial and error, Asmidul discovers that the center of the reaction was his own bedroom, but he cannot determine anything more specific.
But why specifically the bedroom? Does the villain take over the bodies of his victims at night? He committed his deed without even reaching home, and before that, he was wandering around the country. Even if the curse only entered its second stage recently, this doesn't explain the whole picture.
Just in case, he moves the pillows, looks under the mattress, and opens all the cabinets – not really hoping to find anything – and Asmidul goes to the university again. However, he doesn't enter the building itself, so as not to disturb the nameless ones; he only needs the readings of the device during his usual walk to the place and at the entrance to the hall of knowledge.
