The blackjack table was not overseen by the priestess Shiris, but by a regular employee – this could be determined by the discomfort visible on her face. Apparently, she didn't like the local work "uniform." If necessary, she explains the rules of the game.
1. The player makes a bet.
2. The dealer deals two cards face up to the players and one to themselves.
3. At this stage, the player can:
- Take another card and continue taking cards until the sum of their cards exceeds 21 (in which case they lose).
- Double the bet: in this case, it will be the last card the player takes in this round.
- Surrender and lose only half of the bet.
4. The dealer deals cards to themselves.
- An Ace can be counted as either 1 or 11.
- If the sum of the dealer's cards is 21, the players lose.
