The Cloak of Necromancy is, of course, the most "powerful" artifact, but what's the point in discussing it if it just sits there and provides lichdom? It would be better to discuss some original cases from gameplay where a particular artifact was used in an unusual way.

The Cursed Armor can cast all four of its spells even in an antimagic zone, while no other magic works there... This is a rather original case and a significant help when playing against the AI. :)
