Hmm, well, I actually replayed it quite recently, and I posted screenshots and recordings. The map sometimes crashed when loading saves during combat, but there were no problems loading after restarting. And my laptop, which has the game installed, might die at any moment.
On the forum, in one of the threads, someone posted an exe file that might consume more RAM. If it supports 3.1 functions, it should solve the crashing problem here and on any other maps. I tried it once, but I've reinstalled the game about 5 times since then.

I've searched through a bunch of torrent trackers (all of them have more or less variations of builds from Hattab, with 3.1 integrated or not, and from Nival). Basically, I already have these builds on my PC. So, I took a more global and radical approach – I decided to download an old release from Booka (https://rutracker.org/forum//topic/5708374/). My Windows didn't even recognize the exe in the mounted disk, so I had to unpack the entire image into a folder and install it without emulation and NoDVD (it wasn't needed anyway). ...now I'll see how the game behaves. There doesn't seem to be anything to complain about. New clean profile, default game installation path, 0 mods. And also... the system asked several times for permission to run the game in compatibility mode, but I refused for now. In the previous build, it set Vista 2 by default.
