The Price of Love

I played through this scenario on Hero difficulty again, as last time I felt like I hadn't quite won (because of that caravan incident).

Walkthrough

This time, I decided to play without using war machines. I got Mentoring, Spell Power, and Defense as my skills, but I had very bad luck with magic. When Ter-Gelat arrived, Kolger was only level 19 and only had basic Light magic. So, through Mentoring, I taught Helmar the Holy Word spell, and he killed all of Ter-Gelat's undead in just a few attacks. Kolger easily finished off the wolves. After that, instead of immediately capturing Eastern Rampart, I completed the quest with the mummies, then dispelled Fallen Belged and developed it well. I also accumulated enough mercury so that Lorik could immediately buy Dark magic spells in the library. Only after that did I capture Eastern Rampart, and I immediately bought Subjugation and Berserk for Lorik, transferring the entire army to him. Jessica arrived, and this time she also acted strangely: some days she made a full move, and other days she clearly moved less. But in the end, she attacked Fallen Belged, where Lorik was stationed. She had a large army - 231 horses, other strong units, and for some reason, Nightblades. I easily won the battle on the first try: I only used my troops to break the war machines and used Dodge once, then just used Defense to avoid retaliation. Jessica's troops killed each other under the effect of Berserk, and the towers and the hero finished off the remaining knights. After that, I only played as Lorik: I went on the offensive, defeated the blue heroes, and captured two cities. Then I ran around the map to collect a set of Gnomish artifacts and get the Hammer. I also won the battle against Kirdan on the first try, using the same tactics as with Jessica (only this time in the field, not in the castle): the troops always defend, and we defeat everyone with Dark magic. I completed the game in 152 days; I didn't play for speed, and after defeating Jessica, I ran around the map for a long time again.

What can I say after replaying it? The scenario is good; the main thing is not to rush so that the playthrough is enjoyable even on Hero difficulty. It can become hardcore if you play strategically poorly (capturing Eastern Rampart too early, before you're ready for the battle with Jessica). You don't need to be afraid that Jessica will accumulate a lot of horses; they will end up hurting each other more under the effect of Berserk. I saved replays of the battles with Jessica and Kirdan to add to the comments.
