To me, both are garbage... It all depends on two things - skill and luck=))
It depends only on skill and brains, because you need to play as if your opponent has an endless supply of mana, but at the same time, taking risks is, of course, a noble thing!

What magic are you talking about?
The ability to learn secondary skills of all elements for 2000 gold - is that, in your opinion, a strong argument in favor of the Conflux? The human race, and specifically its heroes, can learn all of this...
He's probably just saying that even with an initial (some kind of) magic school, spells are cheaper, and it's still easier to learn magic than to wait for something to trigger and when that will happen, but the argument is indeed not very strong.
