I just finished playing Skyrim with the Requiem mod (that's why I was gone for so long), and this mod managed to make me interested in the dragon cult and reconsider my attitude towards intelligent demonic squids)). The dragons of Skyrim, unlike the gods of Lovecraft and Warhammer, don't want to destroy and corrupt the world, but rather to gain power (according to Parthurnax, whom I killed, lol). There might be the same thing here - the squids want to subjugate weaker races.
