Your language is the language of the past and the future, and by continuing to speak the language of the mind, you will never be able to tune in to existence, to come into harmony with it. And if you have not tasted the flavor of harmony, how can you break the daydreams? – because that is what your whole life is about.
You ask: “Why do I always daydream about the future?” You daydream about the future because you have not yet tasted the flavor of the present. Start tasting the flavor of the present. Find a few moments when you simply rejoice. Looking at the trees, just look. Listening to the birds, just be a listening ear. Let them reach your deepest core. Let their song spread throughout your being. Sitting on the beach by the ocean, just listen to the wild roar of the waves, become one with it... because in the wild roar of the waves there is neither past nor future. If you can tune in to it, you too will become a wild roar. Hug a tree and relax in it. Feel how its green form flows into your being. Lie on the sand, forget the world, become one with the sand, with its coolness; feel how the coolness saturates you. Come to the river, swim, and let the river flow inside you. Raise splashes and become the splashes. Do everything that brings you a feeling of enjoyment, and enjoy it completely. For these short moments, the past and the future will disappear, and you will be here and now.
