Insho arrived at her adoptive parents' home when she was very young. She didn't remember why, how, or where she came from. All her stepfather and stepmother told her was that they found her in the port of Sygon. They were not poor people; they made exclusive furniture for wealthy clients. The couple never had children of their own.

Insho spent her entire childhood in Enlil. Her adoptive parents always treated her well, and she reciprocated. Unfortunately, there was something wrong with the girl. Problems began during puberty. The Lunarian began to show an unhealthy interest in males. Her adoptive parents tried to "cure" her in various ways, but it was all in vain. Eventually, they resigned themselves to Insho's flaw and accepted her as she was.

At one point, the girl set a goal for herself: to reach 10,000 pods. By the age of 18, after five years of pod-related adventures, she had only 1,000, but she wasn't going to stop. She felt constrained in Enlil and intended to visit as many cities as possible after deciding on a guild.
