Humans can't do magic, or do they need to rely on randomness?
They can, but lore-wise, it's now an even rarer occurrence. Randomness is still present, but it works a bit differently than before: instead of a one-time chance to roll an affinity, the talent is acquired during the completion of a quest after joining a magic guild (depending on luck, it may take a long time). Elves have a guaranteed talent for magic, but they don't have any gender-based bonuses.
