Dreams.

I dreamt a lot, and probably even interesting things, but I only remember one fragment. I'm on the balcony of some high-rise building, admiring the city, and then I turn left and see dark gray clouds (like before an approaching thunderstorm/rain), and in them "floats" a whale, which is also a cloud, just a moving one, as befits a living whale. Seeing me, it jumps up and dives into the clouds, as if into water, and disappears. For some reason, I immediately understood that this was the God of Dreams, and I shouldn't have seen him, after which I woke up. 🙃
