Why force Alaric, who relies on infantry, when he might not be able to handle it, while Vitya, who focuses on ranged units, heroically completed it without major problems in a month and a half. For a first map, it might even be good: there's constant pressure from the enemy, meaning there's dynamism in the gameplay, which is lacking in most maps.
