OBS is finicky ))) sometimes it doesn't immediately find the application... sometimes it doesn't see the application/game at all... but there's an option there called "screen capture," I think it records everything; the only thing is, mine has been configured for a long time, and I don't remember if there were any specific settings for this option or not... but if there are, you can search for them...
Oh, of course, there's a downside: your taskbar will be visible if you switch between applications, all your files, folders, and windows will be visible... but you can crop it in Vegas Pro, for example, if you don't mind.
