You can also look at the screenshots: on the first page, they are in 1024x768 and not stretched. Starting from (approximately) the middle of the second page (comment #20), the image is stretched from 1024x768 to 1280x720.

Since you yourself are not interested in why the game limits you to 1024x768 and stretches it to larger resolutions, so be it.

I am really not very interested in this. If Comrade Ment hadn't told me, I would have, like everyone else for the past 10 years, not paid attention to these little things.

As for the screenshots, let me explain. What I posted on the first page (with Jezebel and others) was done on a PC. As you can understand from the discussion with Mr. Khotab (2nd page), I then posted screenshots from a backup laptop that I use when I'm at work or not at home. And in total, I have at least 3 devices available, each of which has Heroes, and the current mod build is on an external hard drive, which I, like everything useful, carry with me and connect to whatever is most convenient for me at the moment and depending on where I am.

I hope this detailed answer will satisfy your "unjustifiably" high interest in this "topic that is not worth discussing."
