Technical issues with Heroes III.

Heroes of Might and Magic doesn't launch. Can you suggest what I can do? The game is SoD from Бука, with the exe file patched to version 3.2. Previously, I had a pirated version, and it worked! Thank you!
I changed the exe to the original one, and it works!!!
