Good game...
If you don't pay attention to the excessive cartoonish and hyperbolic pomposity of the images (long-eared and overly feminine elves, 50-kilogram statues on the helmets of Knights and Paladins, rolling balls as Peasants and Militia, etc.) and the weak plot of the single-player game, then you can spend many interesting hours playing against live opponents and enjoying the beautiful animation, special effects, and colorful world of HoMM V.
It won't achieve universal acclaim, but it can provide a pleasant pastime.
