I got into an awkward situation with this game – a friend, the same one who let me play the fifth installment on his account, made the same offer regarding the third game, and I agreed, but then, in the first few days, I felt a strong reluctance to play. Considering the circumstances, dropping it seemed like a bad idea, and putting it off and keeping someone else's account for a long time also didn't seem right, so I had to play. This, combined with my terrible mood and the tedious gameplay, probably didn't do much good for my perception of the game, so my assessment should be treated with skepticism.

In general, it seems to me that this is the worst of the installments in this series that I've played. The main reason for this conclusion is the dungeon with 250+ floors, in which all the levels are the same (the layout is only slightly randomized, and the textures change slightly every few dozen floors). Even in The Elder Scrolls, exploring dungeons was more interesting, which should say a lot. This turned out to be one of those rare cases when I switched to the easiest difficulty and practically didn't interact with the tactical and strategic elements of the game, because I just couldn't be bothered. But the downsides don't end there. The music is worse than in parts 4 and 5, the town isn't very appealing, and the plot is nominal – it's there, but it probably makes up about 5% of the whole game, and even the slice-of-life moments are implemented rather mediocrely. Many characters appear and disappear without the player having time to get to know them properly, which means the emotional impact remains weak.

On the plus side, the main characters seemed, on average, better than in the other two parts. And I have a thought that if I were a bigger fan of this series or at least in a better mental state (for example, in 2019), maybe this grind through the 250+ floor tavern would have been interesting, especially at higher difficulty levels, but alas...
