RTF is a global modification that replaces all towns in the game.

yesterday I found out that Maya doesn't open files with Russian characters in the mesh name... the program crashed until I changed the names.

Interesting, I haven't encountered this because I don't work with the ninth version of Maya and the FBX format, and in OBJ, all Cyrillic characters are replaced with gibberish... as I understand it.
