Is life a trial or a gift?

What does death have to do with it? Is death observed in life? Firstly, death ends life, rather than being one of its events. Secondly, if we are not talking about violent or premature death, the dying person does not always yearn for life. Many elderly people look forward to death, and sometimes, given that their tools for experiencing life are either unable to function or are not being used, their desire is quite understandable.

Really? Death ends life, but why isn't it an event in life? Life and death are inextricably linked. After all, a "gift" is literally taken away. Therefore, it is not a gift. And, to be honest, I haven't met many people who are not afraid of death. Yes, their "tools for experiencing" may not be functioning, but the desire to live does not leave them! Here, it is already a literal, animalistic fear of death... in such moments, it is difficult to think about experiencing. The only exception, perhaps, is people whose every day is filled with pain or something similar. They really want death.
