Well, yes, either after Rinze, or Lucretia, or someone else, I noticed that the empresses in the expansions are becoming more and more evil and unhinged, but here, suddenly, a complete turnaround, and she's quite positive. And in general, there are many positive moments: they'll give you a genie lamp, or something very profitable, or an edgelord in the Holmesian quests, so these more relaxed moments are much better than a party wipe followed by absurd resurrections or complex multi-step puzzles. You get punished for your mistakes, but you don't feel like the GM is deliberately putting obstacles in your way. Of all the wipes, I only feel bad for Aiko; she was simply defeated due to the players' indecisiveness and nothing else.
