After taking a dozen deep breaths, almost getting dizzy, she smooths her clothes and hair with a trembling hand, shaking off a couple of spiders and pine needles. Raising her fist above the front door, she hesitates and, with horror, sniffs her armpit, but her fears are unfounded - nothing but the scent of perfume and meadow flowers emanates from it, as always.
