While the participants were getting acquainted, chatting, and discussing various things, Cupid announced the rules of the first competition: the male participants had to write down five adjectives that came to mind about their partner and hand them to the host (send them to the GM). After that, the female participants had to whisper to the host (GM) which characteristics, in their opinion, had been given to them.
