Bicorns are simply two-horned kartazons.

The modern, cute image of unicorns is far removed from its original, mythological form. The Greeks believed that a unicorn, or rather a kartazon, was a reddish, muscular beast (most often a horse, deer, goat, or bull) with one large, pointed, spiral-shaped horn protruding from its forehead. Kartazons are generally not dangerous, but males are irreconcilable with each other and attack even females. They also killed people.

Well, even though this is ancient history, the medieval image is also a fundamental concept. I heard somewhere that the unicorn was associated with Christ, so it had to be caught with a virgin. It's interesting how people perceived and understood Christianity.

There was a problem with the Vikings. According to their religion, the god Odin was crucified on Yggdrasil and reborn, so they didn't see much of a problem in combining the two religions with almost no changes. Officially, they are Christians, but they could say something like "Jesus and the Valkyries are watching over us," lol.

Ah, I didn't write about the two-horned ones. I still think it's a meme – the word "bicorn" doesn't really hint that it's a horse; you could call a goat or a cow that too.

And, in my opinion, Greek myths are boring. A unicorn is a dangerous monster. The question is, why is it needed? How is it better than hydras and wyverns that serve evil factions? It's not better at all; it's the unicorn's good nature that makes it close to elves and fairies
