Most people like "soft," "cute" art, so they don't have to strain their brains, so that the birds sing, the warm sun shines, and life in this fantasy is wonderful, but that's clearly not what that poem is about: although it's optimistic in its own way, it's not through rose-colored glasses. I, by the way, expanded it a bit into a song – further emphasizing all its brutal features, so I'm not sure I should share it.
