The time for the first act has come – a “duel” between Garret and Erefir. A spectacular duo, performing a rehearsed dance and exchanging staged slaps. Alaria slightly regretted that Erefir and Garret didn’t sit down and come up with some story about “why are we fighting at all?”, which Beata could tell before the performance. This would go beyond the circus program, but it would add some intensity to the show. Each of the spectators would root for their “champion,” based not on personal sympathy for the performers, but on the invented plot. But even without that, the spectacle turned out to be quite entertaining, to be honest. Although it was a little amusing to realize that in a real fight, the Asterian wouldn’t have had a chance – Erefir would have knocked him down in the first few seconds, despite all his flexibility and agility.
