Here, it's less about randomness and more about subjective criteria. There are ways to please almost everyone (by avoiding certain points that players tend to downvote), but ultimately, there's no real difference. We're not even doing this to get badges on our profiles; it's just to give someone a 1-point rating with a funny or not-so-funny joke in parentheses. As you can tell from the "Masquerade" example, sometimes certain points are submitted purely for amusement or to promote favorite games/series.
