It was difficult, but I forced myself to do it.
Notre Dame de Paris Lune — I diligently searched through the studio versions, but the attempt was unsuccessful. I love songs from many musicals in live performances (for example, even some parts from Dracula with the French, portly Kirkorov and Ponasyenkov were enjoyable at one point, although the musical itself is just mediocre), but I just can't stand studio versions. Unless there are a couple of exceptions, but even then, the theatrical versions are better.
Zero no Kiseki Evolution OST - Feelings Crushed... — 3, not bad, but it doesn't fit my vision of melancholic music. More like a soundtrack for some location in a game.
Ayunga (阿云嘎) - 【Nie Mingjue & Nie Huai Sang】 Qinghe Jue (清河诀) Official OST Ver. Fatal Journey — 4, so-so. The vocals and music are okay, but it's not melancholic enough for me. The aggressive shouts in the middle of the song ruined the whole impression, hence the minus one point.
Judas Priest - Beginning of the End (Audio) — 8, my favorite in this selection, hence +1 point. In general, I'm not a big fan of Judas Priest, but I admit they are cool.
Chamber of Reflection — 4, it's just not to my taste. I won't listen to this when I'm feeling down, but it didn't make my ears bleed either.
Lana Del Rey – Ultraviolence — 1, and here I felt bad just from seeing the track in the list. I regret wasting the time… Next time, please send artists who can sing, or at least instrumentals.
Masha Badda Boo - Luna — 4, the artist seems to have problems with diction, although it doesn't make my ears bleed. Just not my cup of tea.
The Only Thing I Know For Real Piano Version (No Vocals) — 3, at the same level as the anime game soundtrack above.
Sewerslvt - Mr. Kill Myself — 1, I felt bad as soon as I saw the timing. In general, there's no melancholy here, especially from the screams of Asian girls; I didn't appreciate the prank.
Tamino - Indigo Night — 4, I heard this track a long time ago, but it didn't make it to my playlist because I didn't like it. But at least it matches the mood, so I added 1 point.
Type O Negative Angel — 2, not my thing, but it's depressing, so +1 point for matching the theme.
Canon in D (Pachelbel) - Viola & Piano — 3, at the same level as the anime game soundtrack above x2.
Enya - Echoes In Rain (Official Lyric Video) — 3, "New Day," "Alleluia" are the opposites of melancholic and depressing in general. I'm not a fan of Enya, but this is objectively not the worst thing in the list.
