The upcoming storm on this side was quite good; I even created a mini-challenge for myself in one of the Campaigns, to complete the entire map without an army (not counting garrisons), using only the hero, as the heroes there leveled up really well. But the storyline in this part is weak, of course...
In The Upcoming Storm, I had this challenge for all the heroes; I only hired an army for some super-difficult and super-annoying battles, just to distract the enemy while the hero eliminates everything in sight from the back rows. I think I only had to do this two or three times; I definitely remember the sea creatures in the barbarian campaign (or was it the default barbarian campaign? I don't remember) and the siege of the Castle of Order in the chaos campaign. However, in the default campaigns, I also tried to play solo, but I got stuck in the demonologist campaign at some point and gave up; there was another annoying, difficult castle there. The storylines of the fourth game are mostly praised in the default campaigns, and I don't know, it seems okay, but again, I always ignore the storylines in Heroes.
