- So, dinosaurs. Alright. - Sanexa closed her eyes, trying to recall a fragment of her past. - The occupation of their islands began exactly twenty years ago, so I couldn't have witnessed it and set sail when Kumari was already one of the regions of the empire. Based on this, one might think that the journey shouldn't have been fraught with danger, right? But such an assumption is far from the truth. On the first day of the journey, we encountered a severe storm. On the second - a storm. On the third - a storm. And what about the fourth day? A storm? No - a whirlpool! Only through coordinated teamwork were we able to avoid sinking, but the merciless elements deprived me and many members of my crew of our personal belongings. For some, these were priceless reminders of loved ones and home; for others, it was their wages for several months of sailing; and for others, it was their favorite equipment. That time, I lost the saber that Her Highness had gifted me... I'm still ashamed of that. But, of course, we couldn't stop in the middle of the sea because of what happened and complain about fate - we had to keep going. On the fifth day, the weather was clear, but on the sixth, we were attacked by a real kraken! On the one hand, it was terrible, but still, after we fought it off, there was an inexplicable feeling of triumph - it's still a pleasant memory. Only... I had the impression that out of all its victims, it seemed to pay special attention to me... Maybe I imagined it? Anyway, we reached our destination on the seventh day. There, I met the caretaker, who helped us get our bearings and reach Laplace without any problems. You know, I always thought that lizards were cold-blooded, and snake people worship Rufus, the god of fire. Can you imagine? Although they call him something else, I don't remember what. Their language is not easy. They have very wonderful places there, but it's better not to go beyond the city without a guide. Dinosaurs are, of course, not dragons, but they can still easily take a person's life. Some will ram with their horns, some will trample, and some will grab with their huge jaws and chew. Although the most dangerous, perhaps, seemed to be the pterodactyls... It's almost impossible to hide from them, and they can easily attack in a whole flock unnoticed.

- Unfortunately, I didn't come up with what I could give to your colleague... But I'm glad that this gesture touched you, - Miko nodded respectfully. - And you know what, Adalard-san? It's okay if I address you by name? I see that you carry a heavy burden on your shoulders, and this is quite understandable - sometimes life forces us to do things that must be done for the common good, even at the expense of ourselves, but that doesn't mean that our existence must necessarily be a spiral of hardships. Sometime in the next few months, if the higher powers of the universe are merciful, a Sanctuary will be built in [A]. And if at some point you feel that the burden on your heart becomes too heavy, then be sure to go there. You will be welcome there, and perhaps you will find peace.
- I'm just an executioner, so there's no need to observe formalities with me. - Adalard-san smiled with his eyes. - Sanctuary... Thank you for the invitation, I will definitely take advantage of it if such a need arises, and... How can I put it... If your religion does not contradict my inner beliefs. - Scratching the back of his head with his arms up to the elbows in figurative blood, he decides to add to his thought. - Sorry that I can't answer unequivocally after all the kindness you have shown. By the way, if you need help with the construction, I'm ready to help on weekends. - Eh, I wouldn't refuse a gift! - The ghost raised his hands to the sky. - Let this be an occasion for you to visit me again! Sonata didn't see or hear this.
