Leaving the shop, the asterisk stopped and glanced over his shoulder. He didn't see any gloomy guards turning away J, apparently things work differently here.
"Self-locking doors that depend on gender? That's certainly a technology of the future. Although, it could also be some kind of special magic; who knows how it might be."
The door opened and closed easily and didn't look like it would suddenly lock.
"Someone who isn't aware might accidentally bump their forehead and break their nose, or something... I wonder if such cases have happened here."
He examined the surface out of curiosity, looking for signs of past nose-breaking incidents, and imagined the possible situations, marveling at their harshness and absurdity, after which he continued on his way.
After visiting Abundance, he buys a quiver of bolts and some clothes, and puts them on. Being nearby, he decides to check out what's happening at Grace.
