After spending some time and using a few pages from her Temple notebook to thoroughly clean up the "damage" – and simultaneously apologizing to the Kami for such sacrilege – she spends one unit of mana to carefully rinse her mouth and another to deal with the aftermath of the attack. Assessing whether the bolts are still usable if pulled from these foul-smelling bodies, and if so, doing so, she quickly leaves the area and moves on, hoping that no one saw anything and vowing to tell no one.
Moving on, Ayano discovers a small grotto; by this time, the sky was beginning to turn crimson. Peering inside, she finds the target of her adventure – the Lord, judging by his self-bandaged chest and the unhealthy sleep accompanied by painful snorting, was not in the best condition. He now resembled his teacher after their recent duel. Next to him was a small campfire, over which some creature had been roasted some time ago. Now, this was her second chance today to strangle him, even without a pillow at hand, or to loot his fashionable gadgets and artifacts.
