Gion doesn't know when the mother bird flew away, so she might return at any moment – looting the nest now is simply dangerous and possibly pointless.
Gion understands that both he and Nysho are melee fighters, there's no healer in the party, and their chances against a bird of this size are vanishingly small.
Gion has walked quite a distance and wants to rest a bit.
Gion pulls Nysho away from the nest so that the mother bird cannot see or somehow sense him, but they would notice her return – perhaps they will have to move back a few squares, remembering that neither of them can stealth. Hiding under a rock or bush so they are not visible from above, they rest until their strength is restored or the mother bird returns, but no more than an hour.
– Nysho, do you think it makes sense to check what's in the nest when/if the mother bird flies away again? I saw some kind of glimmer there; it could be magic stones or even potions. But I think our safety should be the priority.
