I just started, made the general frame of the building and styled the front part. Most likely, I'll have to redo it. The eternal Sims problem — for some reason all buildings there look bulky. But if you make them smaller, then a lot of things might not fit; I made the character rooms fairly large, and by my estimates, if I shrink them down, only beds will fit in there.
Actually, in Fallout I have a couple of mods for new build objects, so it might turn out well there, but the build mode there is more finicky — no overview, no floor plans, and you run around on foot in first person like a fool, plus resources get spent. Sims are more convenient in that regard, and the selection is much wider even without mods.
I dunno, I had a slightly different picture in my head — the building seemed darker and more medieval, but I kept in mind what slides Rhubarb uses for the general look of Margel, and adjusted it to match that vision. And yeah, abstractly in my head I have one thing, but when I try to transfer it from my head into visuals, distortions inevitably start — the abstract "well, it's like something there" turns into something concrete that may not satisfy me, and so on.
