Life in Erathia remains very difficult. People's lives are devoid of joy and a sense of security, and all that remains for them is to survive and hope for the best. However, this was not the case everywhere, and even in this Age of Despair, there were prosperous cities whose inhabitants managed to build a haven of joy in a sea of despair. Alrion was one of such cities. In the city itself, it is not customary to talk about this, but the principle of its success was quite prosaic: the citizens of Alrion lived in wealth and prosperity at the expense of the happiness of others. Through terror and regular extortion, the army of this city-state forced the inhabitants of nearby settlements to give up their harvests and resources, obtained through hard work and blood.
