How many factions are there?

I think there could be an unlimited number of factions, of course, as long as it doesn't negatively impact the graphics and other factors. After all, each faction has the right to exist, and it would be more interesting to play if there were many creatures – more variety. I haven't played the third game much, so I can't say much about the Swamp faction, but I really feel sorry for the Ifrits and Nagas, and also for the golden and royal dragons.
