“Yes, your Imperial Blade is still quite effective,” Beata said, stretching languidly on the bed.
“I need to show some strictness towards this dangerous criminal and thoroughly inspect all the most hidden places, just in case you stole something besides my heart,” Guyon chuckled, sitting beside her.
“You’re quite the one, aren’t you!” Beata sighed, feigning indignation.
She paused for a moment, then continued. This issue needed to be addressed immediately.
“Listen, now that our relationship has reached a new level, I want to clarify something verbally. Right away. I’ve become a bit more restrained, and in recent years, my list of sexual conquests hasn’t been growing as rapidly as it did in my youth…”
“Although it’s still at a frightening pace,” Guyon muttered under his breath.
Beata glared at him and continued:
“...but I’m not going to stop there. You know, I have a very simple attitude towards ‘friendship of bodies’; there’s nothing sacred about it for me.”
“I understand what you’re getting at,” Guyon raised his hands. “I’m not an idiot, and I knew what I was getting into. I’m not going to expect absolute fidelity from you or get jealous of everyone you flirt with.”
“You’re right to do so,” Beata nodded. “For our mutual benefit, I’ll sleep with anyone, even the baldest devil or Rynze herself. But you are the only one I trust, and for you, I would tear a thousand Victors to shreds.”
“That means a lot to me. I’m glad you’re saying it out loud,” Guyon smiled.
“I’m also glad that we’ve finally taken the words out of our mouths and said what everyone else has noticed. But that’s not what I wanted to say… If I’m going to be with anyone (mainly for mutual benefit, but I can’t guarantee that’s the only reason), then I can’t demand that you remain completely faithful to me and not look at other women (or men, I don’t judge). I’m not going to force you into a situation with charming Lunarians or muscular Orcs against your will, but if you think it’s a good idea to sleep with someone, you can do it without worrying that I’ll make a jealous scene.”
“I don’t think I’ll often take advantage of this privilege,” Guyon replied, “after all, I see ‘friendship of bodies’ as an expression of affection and trust. But thank you. You’re right, there might be a situation where it’s the most optimal solution.”
Basically, I want my characters to be able to complete quests with XXX content, but their romantic storyline shouldn’t suffer.
