Basically, if Vityok focuses on Ayano throughout the battle (which makes sense, for the reasons already mentioned above) and gets a double turn in the next round, a single failed paralysis attempt might be enough for Vityok to defeat Ayano in the third round. That's why you're needed here – to provide some kind of backup in case of such failures through control (earthquake) and damage (fire arrows and crossbow bolts). The fact that the odds are in your favor doesn't mean that randomness won't decide otherwise.

I assume that's how it will be, yes. Even with a double turn and each attack hitting, it will be -6 spirit points, meaning you won't be without a chance of paralysis. And in the case of such a situation with a double turn, it will be the paralysis that decides everything if it procs. And if it doesn't proc, then Kelian dra will come out with her stun. This will give Ayano a chance to repeat the paralysis in the next round. So don't get me wrong, your group can very well be defeated, despite my jokes. It's just hard to resist making jokes about a group carrying a bunch of overpowered units (Sarnissa, Halmaldir, Tsukiko, and Relssa).
