- According to other laws, you don't have Kami, and demons don't exist, and yet, I feel their presence just as strongly as I do in my own world. The universe is full of unknowable and inexplicable things, and it is not for us, mere specks of existence, to derive patterns from it within the natural limitations of our tools of knowledge, even if a celestial being were to jump out of the bushes and start a conversation about it, - I shrug. - Of course, by "us," I don't mean you personally, little chimera, but only civilization in its generalized sense. And besides... I didn't go through my journey and get called here to spend years shopping or standing behind a counter. I have dedicated my life to eradicating such things, and, frankly, I am curious to feel the boundaries of evil here and probe its weak points. Even if these are my last words - so be it, everything is in the will of the Kami-sama.
