The words "You have nothing to worry about" from someone who had taken control of the ship didn't sound very convincing. Especially when it was the captain of a ship specifically chosen by the princess to carry out an important mission. This simultaneously gave reasons to trust the old captain and not trust the new one at all, which his companions clearly agreed with. It was hard to say whether they should look for Sanex somewhere or try to reason with the "captain" Tyros. The decision remained with Klyn. Revan said that we shouldn't stand there and talk to him, but stay in our cabins. So, direct diplomacy is off the table for now. Klyn obviously decides what to do.
