Ples can't be Jack. Jack gets rid of all his Night Actions, and this action is one of the first. Only a couple of roles can break through to him. Even if we assume that in one night he used his ultimate and defended himself from Jones, I don't see a reason why he shouldn't use his Night Action on another night. But we see Ples in both newspapers.

If we assume that he used his ultimate in the first one (I don't know why, because killing Jones in the first night is not the best option for the Mafia), and it's also clear from the third... But Ples's presence in the 2nd is absolutely inexplicable if he is Jack...

Does the Kraken's ultimate ignore natural defense? I don't see any mention of this in the description, anyway.
