Mafia 112. Pirates of the HW Sea

So, it seems they decided that they were killing Blocky.

The main question: WHY did the Mafia decide to block Ment? WHY didn't they kill Beckett again? WHY didn't they use protection? WHAT is so special about Ment that made them use a block specifically on him?
If Ment isn't a pirate after the check, then everything makes sense. But if he isn't (and since he's Gibbs, he isn't), then WHY???
Until someone gives me answers to these questions, I will consider today's block to be a random, rather than a Mafia-driven, move...
