You can't block a monkey, so it's not an option. But redirecting the monkey to itself or moving it to a target that has no items (implying that the action won't be displayed in that case) is quite possible.

A target without items shouldn't affect the display of the ability, in theory.
However, redirecting it to itself when trying to pickpocket Sparrow is possible. But today, there are obviously two blocks in the game. One from the Mafia, and the other from the monkey.
